3D User Interfaces with
Java3D
This book, written by Jon Barrilleaux, discusses the use of 3D user interfaces
in next-generation applications. The book covers general 3D user interface
concepts and techniques, provides an introduction about how to implement them
in Java3D, and includes a software framework to implement examples and to
help get you started. The book's
introduction
provides further insight into how the book addresses the subject.
Experiences and Observations in
Applying Augmented Reality to Live Training
This paper was accepted for submission to the 1999 Virtual
Worlds and Simulation Conference (VWSIM'99). Unfortunately the author
could not attend and therefore the paper was not included in the procedings.
This paper provides a historical perspective of the author's experience
in applying Augmented Reality and Seamless Simulation to the problem of
live training. It also offers technical insight to the key issues and
challenges for those getting started in this field.
